After receiving a Bachelor of Arts degree with honors from Rutgers University with a dual major in Political Science and English, Dan graduated from New York University School of Law, one of the top five law schools in the United States. 

 

Dan is an accomplished legal educator as well as a practicing attorney. From 2006 to 2009, he was an Adjunct Professor of Law at Fordham University School of Law. Currently, he is an Adjunct Professor at Sussex County Community College in the Criminal Justice Department, where he has taught courses in Criminal Law, Constitutional Law, Introduction to the Criminal Justice System, and Law Enforcement.  

 

Dan has written extensively and has been published in newspapers including The New York Times and the New Jersey Herald. Dan is a trustee of the Sussex County Bar Association. Dan is also a present or past member of the American Bar Association, the American Trial Lawyers Association, the New York County Lawyers Association, and the New Jersey Bar Association. He is admitted to practice before the United States Supreme Court, the United States Courts of Appeals for the Second and Third Circuits, the United States District Courts of the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York, the United States District Court of the District of New Jersey, the Supreme Court of New Jersey, and the Court of Appeals of the State of New York.
