About Dan Perez

 

Dan is the past managing partner of Kuby & Perez LLP, a criminal defense and civil litigation firm in New York City. He has been Adjunct Professor of Law at Fordham Law School where he taught negotiation skills and client counseling to second and third-year law students. 

 

Currently, Dan is a trustee of the Sussex County Bar Association and an Adjunct Professor at Sussex County Community College in the Criminal Justice Department, where he has taught Criminal Law, Constitutional Law, Introduction to the Criminal Justice System and Law Enforcement. He is a former commissioner of the Sussex County Municipal Utilities Authority and served on his local board of education, the Sussex County Community College Board of Trustees, and the boards of numerous nonprofits such as the Northern New Jersey Veterans Memorial Cemetery. 

 

Prior to attending New York University School of Law, Dan graduated with honors from Rutgers University with a dual major in Political Science and English. He was an Undergraduate Fellow at the Eagleton Institute of Politics, Paul Robeson Honors Scholar and recipient of the Livingston College Parent's Award. 

 

Dan has been a beekeeper for over a decade and is active in his county beekeepers association. He instructs new beekeepers and has taught Honey Bee Biology and Behavior for many years. He has appeared in local schools as "Beekeeper Dan" teaching young children the importance of honey bees and the vital role they play in our environment.
